Severity levels

Low severity (rude or off-topic content): reviewed in the moderation queue, with a warning if needed. Medium severity (repeated insults, harassment, sharing private details): content may be temporarily hidden and the user warned, muted, or suspended. High severity (threats, encouraging self-harm, credible crisis, stalking/doxxing, sexual exploitation, child safety): content is hidden immediately, moderators are alerted, replies may be locked, evidence preserved, and accounts suspended as needed.

Self-harm or suicide language

We do not shame and we do not automatically ban. We show crisis resources immediately, send a supportive private message, alert trained moderators, and may temporarily limit harmful replies. You are not in trouble. We’re glad you said something — and if you might hurt yourself or are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or a crisis line right now.

Encouraging self-harm

Encouraging another person to hurt himself results in immediate content removal and a permanent ban. Evidence is preserved. No warning is given.

Threats of violence

Threats are hidden immediately, the thread is locked, moderators are alerted, evidence is preserved, and the user is suspended. Threats that appear specific, credible, and immediate are escalated according to site policy.

Privacy limits

Privacy has limits when there is a serious, credible, and immediate threat of harm.
